J - this happened to me last week but it all came back again OK on it's own. The picture thingy - it seems there has been a prob with Picassa and that could affect your picture displays and uploading as Picassa needs to be working OK to do any uploading as all piccies are hosted by Picassa albums. Methinks you may be worrying un-necessarily and that it will right itself in the fullness of time. It took about 4 or 5 days before it all came back right for me.
Same thing happened to me, thats why I haven't been blogging, been trying to sort it out, I've got mine back to normal now, photo's was a blogger error, but the quick edit pencil loss.... I think mine was caused by a merry Christmas glitter greeting I'd put on in the main column of my blog, I deleted it and I got everything back, maybe it was just a coincidence though, good luck
